Update: Dale's knee
He saw the ortho this morning. He has a prescription for one of the heavier NSAIDs and has been measured for a brace that will shift his weight from the inside of the knee to the outside.

Don't know when the brace will be ready or how much it will cost after insurance.

It will probably be "about a week" before the NSAID has any noticeable effect.

Knees are an obvious flaw in the theory of Intelligent Design. I hope his improves rapidly.

I sure do hope these measures are effective -- and continue to keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

The ortho is being cautious, My Husband has one of the stronger ones (can't remember the name) leftover from breaking his kneecap. He's 6'4 and at the time 240, took two days.

What happened? Did he pull a tendon? I hope can stay off his feet for a bit.

No, this goes back to last summer, when after toughing it out for several months, he finally gave up and went to the doctor. End of August he had surgery to clean up torn meniscus and damaged cartilage.

It took about four months and a series of injections of SynVisc to get him back to work, three weeks ago.

Thursday he ended up leaving early because his knee was hurting so badly. It seems that he's getting bone-against-bone at the top of his tibia.

He's got the prescription anti-inflammatory, and the brace is meant to shift the weight-bearing from the inside of the knee to the outside.
