A while back, Dale's Kroger had signs all over the store advertising "pork lion". I swear, I want to start taking pictures of these things and emailing them to the appropriate person with a note saying "Fix this".
It seems that they've compounded a fairly common half-assing of the acute accent (flambé → flambe') with the misapprehension that any French word should have its syllable stress marked this way.
Because apparently apostrophes have become mysterious to most people. They don't put them where they are needed, they put them where they don't belong, they use them randomly... :-(
