What's a Poetry Fishbowl? It's a thing where the poet makes herself available for a day to write poetry based on your prompts. She sends you a copy for your eyes only. If you want to sponsor a poem -- one written to your prompt or any other prompt -- she posts it and you acquire non-exclusive reprint rights to republish it on your LJ, your blog, in a handout for your customers, whatever (as long as you give proper credit, of course!).
She posts one free poem every month. She posts a second freebie if a new prompter or a new sponsor shows up, so if this inspires you to wander over and participate, tell her that Janet sent you.
There are other perks for sponsoring poems, like getting access to the special donor perk post for the month. This is something inspired by the fishbowl -- perhaps an essay about the research that went into some of the poems, or about a poetic form that showed up.
It's fun, is what it is.
Today's theme is "chocolate and other foods." I'll be soliciting ideas for people who work with food, fans of chocolate, cooking equipment, objects associated with chocolate, interesting food mishaps, the effects of chocolate, exciting discoveries in chocolate, kitchens, restaurants, places where chocolate is produced, the connotations of food, occasions associated with chocolate, and poetic forms in particular.
One of my prompts for this month was, "Artificial pasteurized processed chocolate food product".
Go feed the fish!
