Her theme this month is "Things With Wings," and she is specifically asking for
winged wildlife, fairies, angels, flying aliens, winged monsters, artificial wings, flying machines, things with other types of "wings" such as buildings or maple seeds, plots that involve flight, examples of "winging it," aerial habitats, other places where wings might be found, settings where wings are irrelevant or awkward, the limitations of flight, and poetic forms in particular. But anything is welcome, really.
She always posts at least one free poem, and if there is a new prompter or a new donor in any fishbowl, she posts a second freebie.
My prompts this month included: Organic wings -- some gods and godlings (Hermes/Mercury, cupids), angels, some demons, many faeries and pixies.
Inorganic wings -- helicopters ("helicopters don't fly; they're so ugly the Earth repels them"), Icarus and Daedalus.
Not precisely winged -- astronauts, Dumbo the elephant, parachutes
Wings of buildings
