May I just say
I am heartily sick of being in car accidents. I'm fine; it was a low-speed rear-end and my car is drivable, although it will need a new back bumper and trunk lid.

Still. Annoying as hell.

The important thing to keep in mind, as always, is that cars are repairable and, if necessary, replaceable. (And usually insured.) Body parts, not so much.

So, far better the car is banged up than you are.

Well, yes, but I'm still feeling pretty cranky about the whole thing.

I really do hate to suggest this but what's different about your driving habits that other people aren't compensating for it?

I've become overly cautious at T-intersections because the snow banks are so much taller this year. So stop, creep, stop, creep and the car behind me gets impatient and doesn't actually stop after I enter the street and go. I keep expecting to hear a crash when the car behind me gets hit.

Honestly, I don't know -- all my accidents have been under different circumstances. It's a good question, and I ask myself that a LOT.
