Update from yesterday
I'm somewhat stiff and sore, but not too bad, all things considered. I've been taking ibuprofen all day, and have not needed the prescription painkiller.

Calls made today, for my records: Zach, the assistant manager at Enterprise. Gave them all the information from the little blue card. Got confirmation that since I purchased the damage waiver, I'm off the hook with them. Still don't know where the car was towed, so I can find out about getting my parking pass back.

Casey, a staff member at my Allstate agent's office. Confirmed that since I was driving a rental car and the other driver admitted fault, they don't need to be involved.

Still need to call: My health insurance carrier.

Will not be going to work tomorrow; my car is still in the shop (I would have sworn the message yesterday said "call if you have questions", but apparently they were expecting me to call with authorization, so they didn't do the work yesterday), and I just didn't want to deal with renting another car.

Oh, and I got email today from both of my managers, both expressing concern for my well-being, and one of them saying that I'd gone above and beyond by thinking to delegate and address my responsibilities under the circumstances!

Well, hell.

I missed your yesterday post for some reason. Glad to hear that things are going as well as possible. Hope that continues . . .

OMG! I missed yesterday;s post and had to back track. I am oh, so glad that you are ok. Things can be replaced, people can't Hugs and thoughts of a speedy recovery sent your way.

Thank you kindly. While things can be replaced (even my missing hangtag, if necessary), I'm so very glad that Dale got pushy about fixing the gas gauge, because I really don't *want* to replace a car right now.

I misparsed that as "my ear's in the shop" and i was so confused. :-). Hope the pain continues to improve.

I would be very confused if my ear were in the shop, too! Thanks for the good wishes.

Other than the parking pass, the health insurance and you being stiff and sore, things sound like they have worked out okay. Which I am very glad to hear.
Just don't mix the ibuprofen with the ranger candy, bad juju.

And the hang tag is replaceable, just a nuisance; the health insurance can be called today, now that my phone is charged; and I'll get over being stiff and sore.

No, no mixing ibuprofen with stimulants.

I'm glad you're not cracked! I'm distressed at your experience! And I think that your Appropriateness filters are way too strong!

I was pretty distressed on Wednesday, but now I'm okay emotionally (although I suspect I'm going to have to deal with "oh gosh there's something in my peripheral vision FLINCH" for a while).
