Stories like this one (link to a Customers_Suck post) make me feel much less guilty about ordering "a large decaf with room for cream, please" at coffee shops.

(I have had people -- not baristas, but random people -- tell me that if all I'm getting is plain decaf, I shouldn't bother going to a coffee shop. Which is all well and good, but if I'm at the bookstore and waiting for Dale, for example, I want to get something to drink while I read the book I bought. And I like the taste of coffee. Others' mileage varies.) (These people are probably related to the woman I posted about several years ago, who gave me grief about ordering meatloaf at a restaurant because it's so easy to make at home. Yes, it is, but when I saw meatloaf on the menu, my tastebuds said "That. Now.".)

Whoops, sorry. I didn't notice that it was a locked post. Basically, woman at Starbucks demands insanely complicated drink, screams at barista when it is apparently not made to her satisfaction, demands that it be remade, screams at barista AGAIN, and is then politely taken down by former Starbucks employee in line who informs her that the barista did everything exactly as ordered, and yes, he darned well IS tall enough to see behind the counter.
