Okay, this prank? Would explain a lot about Andy Holt Avenue at Volunteer.

The college youth of today clearly believe in recycling.

I think one could replay this with a norma zebra crossing and 2 underground entrances - I must research where that configuration exists in Cologne - the ones I think of first all have traffic lights which is no good. Maybe one could organize this for carnival.

Re: thanks
If you do, I want to see the video!

Yes, it would.

Also, it's too bad that they didn't have access to Tom Smith's "500 Hats", which would have fit much better with the spirit of the prank!

I think it was brilliant. Of course I despise mid-street ped crossings. Walk up to the corner and cross with the light!! And those drivers were much nicer than I would have been.

My experience is that drivers on university streets are more or less used to pedestrians endlessly flooding across intersections.

As to crossing at the light, well, at UTK there are only three traffic lights on the main campus (not counting the ones along Cumberland Avenue, which more or less borders the campus). There are a couple more on the Ag Campus, and none at all on the hospital campus.
