Poor Dale

Dale does not, as we hoped, have a 24-hour upper respiratory viral bug. No, he's gone and picked up something bacterial, and has a doctor's note to be off work through Friday, with the highlighted annotation "CONTAGIOUS".

I'm very glad that I've been sleeping on the futon.

He has prescriptions for 10 days of SeptraDS (which is apparently aka Bactrim), a codeine cough syrup, and an antihistamine / decongestant. Given that antihistamines and decongestants knock him out to begin with, I suspect he's going to be nigh-unto-comatose for the next few days.

I'm very glad that I've been sleeping on the futon.

This isn't a CEPT; it's not an emergency by any means, but he's pretty miserable, so if you have some spare energy and want to toss it in his general direction, neither of us would object.
