Poetry fishbowl at ysabetwordsmith's

This month's description: Starting now, the Poetry Fishbowl is open! Today's theme is "sociological science fiction." (Sociological science fiction deals with soft sciences such as anthropology, psychology, and linguistics; and how technology impacts societies. If you have a favorite social issue, that's fair game too.) I will be checking this page periodically throughout the day. When people make suggestions, I'll pick some and weave them together into a poem ... and then another ... and so on. I'm hoping to get a lot of ideas and a lot of poems.

Go feed the fish!

At this point, I think I just have to laugh near-hysterically

The walk-in clinic where I went after I fell last week? That x-rayed my wrist and said "no break, just a really bad sprain"?

Called me this evening and said, "We re-read your films, and there might actually be a tiny little fracture in your wrist. Could you come back and have it x-rayed again so we can check?"

So I went back in, had the same set of films taken, and they will read the films tonight or tomorrow and call me back.

I'm not sure what they can do if there IS a fracture; I skinned that hand and you can't put a cast over an open wound. I guess they could put it in a stiff brace rather than an elastic wrap, as it is now.

I'm just going to laugh, that's all. There's not a damn thing else I can do about it.
