So, apparently

the cure for the common cold is to whine about it on LJ.

While I'm not precisely bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I am upright, ambulatory, and at work.

My nomination for the Nobel Prize in Medicine should be announced shortly *grin*.

Wow

Stories like this one (link to a Customers_Suck post) make me feel much less guilty about ordering "a large decaf with room for cream, please" at coffee shops.

(I have had people -- not baristas, but random people -- tell me that if all I'm getting is plain decaf, I shouldn't bother going to a coffee shop. Which is all well and good, but if I'm at the bookstore and waiting for Dale, for example, I want to get something to drink while I read the book I bought. And I like the taste of coffee. Others' mileage varies.) (These people are probably related to the woman I posted about several years ago, who gave me grief about ordering meatloaf at a restaurant because it's so easy to make at home. Yes, it is, but when I saw meatloaf on the menu, my tastebuds said "That. Now.".)
