I hab a code id by dose
And have had it since Sunday. Have been home sick, on two grounds: one, I believe in not sharing my germs with my coworkers, and two, I can't really drive 40 minutes to work, much less get anything done once I get there, when I have to stop every three to five minutes to blow my nose. Also, not sleeping through the night -- because I have to wake up every 30 to 50 minutes to blow my nose -- is not fun.

I told him to wait a while.

Is there some reason that you can't treat this symptomatically, with Sudafed (or equivalent) during the day and Benadryl at night? Not being able to breathe properly SUCKS, and I will go to great lengths to rectify the situation.

I absolutely cannot take decongestants -- I get a horrible reaction to them. If I take one dose of Sudafed or the equivalent, my nose will drain constantly and copiously for 24-36 hours, while the pressure in my sinuses increases to the point where my tear glands are leaking.

Benadryl I can take, but this particular cold it doesn't seem to be helping at all.

In any case, I pretty much don't breathe through my nose anyway; never have. I can't get a full lungs'-worth of air through my nose.

You have all my sympathy. Hope you feel better soon!
