Follow-up memo to self:
Apparently, heating pads work better than Ben-Gay for really sore muscles. Who knew?

Sometimes, it depends on which muscles.

Sometimes, it also depends on if one is going to be doing something where the heating pad has no electricity.

Hooray for relief.

Hooray for relief.

Oh, yeah. I pulled a muscle or something in the side of my neck on Friday, and it's been really, really painful. As in, nauseating painful. (Some kinds of pain are more tolerable than others. This has not been not one of them.) I've been maxing out on Advil and Tylenol, and slathering the hell out of my neck, shoulder, and arm with Ben-Gay, to no avail.

Last night, Dale said, "Why don't you try the heating pad instead?" So I went to bed under three layers: wet hand towel, heating pad, heavy towel. Dale sat with me until I fell asleep, then turned off the pad.

Today has been much, much better.
